Money Mate is an open source personal finance and expense tracking application. By installing, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By installing or using Money Mate, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the App.
2. Description of Service
Money Mate is a personal finance and expense tracking application. It allows users to track expenses, income, and budgets, and optionally sync their data to their own Google account using Google Sheets.
3. Google Account Integration
- If you choose to log in with Google, you must authorize the App to access your Google profile, Google Drive, and Google Sheets as described in the Privacy Policy. These permissions are used solely to create and sync your data to a Google Sheet in your own Google Drive.
- Your use of Google services in connection with the App is subject to Google's applicable terms of service. These Terms are in addition to, and do not replace, Google's terms.
4. User Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter into the App.
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device, browser, and Google account (if used).
- You agree to use the App in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
5. Open Source and Intellectual Property
- Money Mate is open source software, released under an open source license. You are free to use, modify, and distribute the app in accordance with the license terms published in the source code repository.
- All original content, features, and functionality are provided under the applicable open source license.
6. Limitations and Restrictions
- You agree not to use the App in any way that violates any applicable law or regulation.
- You will not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code of the App.
- You will not use the App in a manner that could disable, overburden, damage, or impair the App or interfere with any other party's use of the App.
7. Disclaimers
- The App is provided as open source, on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without any warranties of any kind. The developer disclaims all warranties, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- The developer is not responsible for any data loss, data leaks, or any damages resulting from the use of the App, whether in guest mode or when using Google account sync.
- The developer does not warrant that the App will function without interruption or errors. The App may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or system or network failures.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall the developer be liable for any indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential damages, or any damages whatsoever including, without limitation, damages for loss of use, data, or profits, arising out of or in any way connected with the use or performance of the App.
9. Modifications to Terms
The developer reserves the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. The most current version will be posted in the App or on the website. By continuing to access or use the App after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.
10. Termination
The developer may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease.
